What kind of call reminders can I set up for patients?

To set up call reminders in In Touch EMR, go to Marketing from the main menu, and click on Appointment Reminders.

In Touch EMR allows you to customize the following reminders:

  • SMS Message (text message)
  • Call Message (this is the automated message that the patients will hear when they answer the phone)
  • Call Confirmation (this is what the patient will hear after the patient hears the call message, with further instructions)
  • Call Confirmation Thanks Message (this is what the patient will hear if they press 1)
  • Cancel Thanks Message (this is what the patient will hear if they press 2, and the call will automatically transfer to your verified phone number)
  • Reschedule Thanks Message (this is what the patient will hear if they press 2, and the call will automatically transfer to your verified phone number)
  • Voice Mailbox Message (this is the voicemail that will be left on the patients phone if they do not answer the call)

To set up your custom call reminders for patients, refer to the abbreviation legend in the top right corner.

You can view your appointment reminder patient list and make changes by clicking on the “Patients” tab.

You can view all your appointment reminder logs by clicking on ‘Reports’.

You can view details of all the appointment reminders you have used by clicking on ‘Usage Details’
